Total Care Nursing

Almost 25 years ago on December 17, 1993 G.B. Cross employee RN Phyllis Fitzpatrick had the tremendous insight to recognize the need for a home support system in the Clarenville area. A system that would allow for the elderly, convalescent, and disabled to live successfully within their home environment.

Starting from her dining room table and with a small staff of under 10 employee’s Phyllis grew her dedicated care team of hardworking individuals to a team which today surpassed 250 in number.

Phyllis would not have been able to do this without her extreme under-standing of the needs of the elderly and those requiring assistance.

Home support workers in her employ all value professionalism, courtesy, trust and respect. Her work ethic and reputation was second to none and soon her business
spread to encompass areas from Southern Harbour to Bonavista and extending to Port Blandford.

Today, almost 25 years later Phyllis’s Total Care team continues to provide quality hands on home care to the clients by encouraging, supporting and assisting them to
achieve and maintain a state of well being. Care provided includes all aspect of personal care, meal preparation, light housework, respite, companionship and palliative care.

Phyllis’s compassion, dedication and insightfulness have developed into a company that is now a leader in the industry and she has never once lost sight of the importance of optimal client care.
